Statewide Survey
The national research firm Schulman, Ronca, & Bucuvalas, Inc., Silver Spring, MD 20910 is conducting a statewide survey of victims of crime on behalf of COPCVO. The purposes of the survey are to determine the level of services that victims of crime are receiving and whether victim service providers are providing for the right and services to which they are entitled under the state's Crime Victims Act. The Purposes of COPCVO are:

To provide opportunities for concerned citizens, programs and organizations to exchange information and ideas; support the sharing and utilization of materials and resources; and address emerging issues in the field.

To provide leadership and support to programs and practitioners in the professionalization of quality victim services.

To advance legislative and policy initiatives in support of the rights and needs of victims and witnesses and the field of victim services.

To create opportunities for crime victims to become empowered through activism.

To increase public awareness of victim issues.

Membership/Nominating Committee

Develops and implements the membership selection process. This committee also nominates candidates for officers and board positions .
Legislation/Education Committee
Deborah Donahue, Chair

Provides for favorable publicity for the activities of the organization. Plans, organizes and prepares literature, program s and activities that educate its members and the general public. Also promotes and encourages laws in connection with the purpose of the organization and provides information on the initiation and status of laws and regulations.

The Rally Committee is a sub-committee of education.
